My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.--Psalm 5:3
Dear Suzanne, Rebecca, Anna, and Mikayla,
For me this is the very best part of any day...the morning...the time I spend with Him always...each and every day with my bible and my coffee. I love to begin my day before my feet even hit the floor committing myself and my day to Him. I lie there and think about how good He is and ask Him to lift the light of His countenance on me. He then puts gladness in my heart. I can have the glory of the Lord shining on me...reflecting off of me. His presence and His glory in my life make all the difference in the world. They also make a difference to those around me..His light in me (in you) lights up the darkness in the lives of those He has placed in your life. I look to Him and am radiant...even at 5:30 in the morning. I have Him dwelling in this cracked pot...this earthen vessel. He is working out His purposes and His plans for my life. I am going to spend eternity with Him. I could go on....
When I am ready to get up, I say, "Here I am Lord, use me as you desire today...guide my words and my steps always in Your ways. Hedge me behind and before. Make me sensitive to your voice as I go about my day. I am always reminded then that I am not my own. I was bought with a price...the blood of God's precious Son. My life is to be lived for Him and Him alone. He is my hope in this dark world. I can rejoice and be glad because He performs all things for me and makes perfect all things that concern me. The Lord is my Shepherd I have everything I need.
Chuck Smith says there are two kinds of people. Those who begin there day by saying "GOOD LORD" it's morning and those who say GOOD MORNING, LORD!
Love
