Thanks be to God for His Indescribable Gift...

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,—Titus 2:11-13

God doesn’t just give fallen man grace...He gives us grace incarnate...the indescribable gift of His Son, who not only frees us from the penalty of sin but gives us the power to NOT to sin.  With lives freed from the presence of sin, we can, by His gracious Spirit, become God’s earthly witnesses and help bring both His plan and purpose of salvation to its desired end.  We live no longer in the flesh for the lusts of men, but in the Spirit, doing the will of God from our heart.  We become His living epistles...a testimony of Christ to a lost and dying world.

Praying today that I can live in complete dependence on His all sufficient grace which sanctifies and allows me to live a godly life in His Son.

You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.  And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.2 Corinthians 3:2-6
