The Light of My Eyes…

The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,

And a good report makes the bones healthy.Proverbs 15:30

So many things in this world vie for our attention and our heart. There is only One, however, that we need give our attention. Only One that will see us through this life and into the next.  Only One whose lovingkindness is always before our eyes. Only One that can never be taken from usSound truth and wisdom are from our Father in heaven.  Any thought that brings Him, the Giver of all that is good to mind, will stir our heart, relieve our anxiety and produce a cheerful face.

Purpose with me, right here and right now to make Him your all in all. He who is the same yesterday today and forever, will never leave you nor forsake you. His mercy reaches to the heavens and his faithfulness to the skies. With Him is the fountain of life. In His light we see light.  He who holds all things, holds us.  May He be the light of our eyes and the rejoicing of our heart.

Beloved…Put your trust under the shadow of His wings. Drink from the river of His pleasures and be abundantly satisfied with the fullness of His house. Philippians 4:8 comes to mind here. May all the gifts and the graces of God point us forever and always to Him who loves us with an everlasting love.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works

Which You have done;

And Your thoughts toward us

Cannot be recounted to You in order;

If I would declare and speak of them,

They are more than can be numbered.—Psalm 40:5

Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,

And for His wonderful works to the children of men!Psalm 107:15

Bless the LORD, O my soul;

And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all His benefits:

Who forgives all your iniquities,

Who heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from destruction,

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.Psalm 103:1-5

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;

naught be all else to me, save that thou art.

Thou my best thought, by day or by night,

waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.
