The Path of Resistance…

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.—1 Corinthians 10:13

Beloved…Our God is faithful. He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able.  He ALWAYS provides for us a way of escape that we may be able to endure it.

Also, if we are being honest, He usually makes the way of escape in the midst of a trial pretty hard to miss.  Our flesh can, however, ignore the path God so graciously provides and instead, take the path of least resistance…of disobedience…the wide, easy path.

God’s narrow path is the path of resistance…of obedience…and standing in the midst of that right path is Christ. He is our way of escape. Take shelter in Him. Resist temptation by taking His hand and asking Him to lead you out. In a way we are always tempted beyond what “we” are able because without Him “we” can do nothing good.

"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.—John 15:5

And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.—2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But the path of the just is like the shining sun,

That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.—Proverbs 4:18
