I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.—Psalm 121
Father…You are my help and my shield and my exceedingly great reward. I will walk safely in the way because You are the One who guards my feet. When I lie down, I will not be afraid..my sleep will be sweet because You, my God, are my confidence. It is You who keep me night and day, lest any hurt me. You deliver me, because You delight in me.
For You are:
A strength to the poor
A strength to the needy in his distress,
A refuge from the storm,
A shade from the heat
For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
You will reduce the noise of aliens,
As heat in a dry place;
As heat in the shadow of a cloud,
The song of the terrible ones will be diminished.—Isaiah 25:4-5
I will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day. You who has mercy on me, leads me, even by springs of water You guide me. You, the Most High God, are my dwelling place, therefore, no evil will befall me. You give Your angels charge to keep me night and day. Blessed am I as I go in and blessed am I as I go out. You, O Lord, preserve me and keep me alive…You will not deliver me to the will of my enemies. I am blessed here on this earth.
I have set You always before me; because You are at my right hand, I will not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.
10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
11 You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.—Psalm 16:9-11
"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation."—Psalm 91:14-16
