1 I love the LORD, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
I will love You, O Lord my strength, because You HEAR me...You incline toward me...
3 The pains of death surrounded me,
And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me;
I found trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called upon the name of the LORD:
"O LORD, I implore You, deliver my soul!"
I will love You O Lord my strength because You CARE for me and about me. You are with me in sorrow and in trouble. Your heart is full of compassion. You, Lord are kind...You are good and You do good!
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous;
Yes, our God is merciful.
6 The LORD preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He saved me.
I will love You O Lord my strength because You preserve me! Who am I that a You are even mindful of me?? I am brought low and You hear, You care, and You save me!
7 Return to your rest, O my soul,
For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
8 For You have delivered my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
And my feet from falling.
I will love You O Lord my strength because You have dealt bountifully with me! I can rest easy because You are mine and I am Your beloved. You care for my soul. Great is Your mercy toward me... Oh, how many times have You in Your compassionate kindness delivered me and kept my feet from falling into wrong reactions and wrong responses. When my foot slipped, Your mercy O Lord has held me up. It is You who bring me down right paths and it is You who teach me Your ways.
9 I will walk before the LORD
In the land of the living.
I will love love You O lord my strength because You are WORTHY! You are the Almighty God, and I desire to devote my heart to You. You are my strong habitation to whom I can continually resort. I will set You always before me...I will not be greatly moved.
10 I believed, therefore I spoke,
"I am greatly afflicted."
11 I said in my haste,
"All men are liars."
I will love love You O lord my strength because when my faith fails, there is forgiveness with You. AND not only forgiveness but also abounding grace. Your goodness and mercy follow me and overtake me. I cannot outrun them.
12 What shall I render to the LORD
For all His benefits toward me?
13 I will take up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the name of the LORD.
14 I will pay my vows to the LORD
Now in the presence of all His people.
I will love love You O lord my strength because Your gift of salvation to me is free. I will accept and render to You the only acceptable gift...my honor, my obedience and my thanksgiving. I will, by Your Holy Spirit who dwells in me, accept the “cup” You have for me, trusting that You will be with me through all.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD
Is the death of His saints.
I will love love You O lord my strength because You are my guide even unto my death. I am precious in Your sight.
16 O LORD, truly I am Your servant;
I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant;
You have loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And will call upon the name of the LORD.
18 I will pay my vows to the LORD
Now in the presence of all His people,
19 In the courts of the LORD's house,
In the midst of you, O Jerusalem.
Praise the LORD!
I will love love You O lord my strength because You have set me free. I choose to be Your willing bondservant. In the presence of the people, I will name Your name. I will call upon You and offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving. As the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress; so my eyes will look unto Jehovah my God. He will have mercy upon me. He will show me the path of life. In His Presence is fullness of joy and His right hand are pleasures forevermore. Praise to my God!
