The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The LORD preserves all who love Him,—Psalm 145:14-20
How can you not love these verses! So many wonderful promises!! The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up those that are low. The LORD whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and whose dominion endures throughout all generations, condescends to uphold us, who believe, with his righteous right hand. We are kept by His power and preserved by His faithfulness. We are not utterly cast down. When our feet slip, His mercy holds us and we are safe. He intercedes for us, His beloved, that our faith would not fail and that we would strengthen and uphold our brethren as He strengthens and upholds us. When we are troubled, weighed down with care and mourning, He is the lifter of our head. The favor of His arm and the light of His countenance upon us encourages our hearts, directs our path and prospers us in His way.
Our eyes look expectantly to Him! In Him, we have everything we need. Our God needs nothing. He gives life and breath to all. He opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing. He executes righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He is the Rock and His work is perfect. He is our God of truth...righteous and upright. What people have a God that is so near to them as our God is to us in all things! What is man that You, God, are mindful of him? Who are we, O God, to deserve Your gracious lovingkindness? Who are we that You make Your home with us?? Blessed are we who are accepted in the Beloved! Our God will fulfill our desires. He also will hear our cry and save us. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. May He open the eyes of our understanding, that we might know the hope of His calling, and the riches of our inheritance in Him.
