Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”—Deuteronomy 31:8
Beloved…Promises don’t get much better than this. This is is one to keep where you can be reminded of its beautiful truths often. There is never any need to fear.
The LORD goes personally ahead of us…
He will be with us…
He will never fail us…
He will never abandon us…
As I read through the cross reference verses it seemed pretty clear what God wants us to know and remember as we walk though this life. Our strength and courage come from our confidence that His Presence goes with us. He will be with us.
21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.—Exodus 13:21
6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”—Deuteronomy 31:6
5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.—Joshua 1:5
20 And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God—my God—will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you,—1 Chronicles 28:20
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say:
“The LORD is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”—Hebrews 13:5
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.—Psalm 23:4
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.—Matthew 28:20
