Though I Walk in the Midst of Trouble…

 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;

You will stretch out Your hand

Against the wrath of my enemies,

And Your right hand will save me.

8 The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;

Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;

Do not forsake the works of Your hands.-Psalm 138:7-8

God will not forsake the work of His hands. Beloved…we are His creations…He will not…no not ever…forsake us.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.—Ephesians 2:10

We who believe are accepted in the Beloved and stand permanently in His unmerited favor. Our destiny…to live forever in His Presence..is sure and certain. Though we walk in the very midst of trouble, we have no need to fear for HE is with us pouring His strength…His very life..into our own.

And He who formed you, O Israel:

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have called you by your name;

You are Mine.

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.

When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,

Nor shall the flame scorch you.

3 For I am the LORD your God,

The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;—Isaiah 43

Beloved…verse 8 is one of my favorites in the entire Bible. God will perfect that which concerns me. Perfect here means to complete. All that I care about…every one of my interests is safe in His hands.  His word tells me He will work all of it together for my good and His glory. I can be still knowing that HE is God.

I will cry out to God Most High,

To God who performs all things for me.

3 He shall send from heaven and save me;

He reproaches the one who would swallow me up.—Psalm 57:2-3

being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;Philippians 1:6

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."—Joshua 1:9

Father…bring your words to my heart as I go about my day. Remind me that You rule and overrule in the affairs of men. Your grace is sufficient and Your mercy endures forever.  You are faithful!  Your promises are forever.  Your mercies never fail.  You have commanded Your lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night Your song will be with me. You are my very present help…I have no cause to fear.  Your favor toward me is good. Today I will cast my cares upon You knowing that You care for me. You will perfect that which concerns me.
