A short one on my birthday but filled with much. He who does the will of God abides forever. That verse is the verse that D. L. Moody had inscribed on his tombstone. In order to do the will of God we must be immersed in the word of God. Romans 12:2 says:
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The word of God is the anti dote to worldliness. The world is passing away...everything in it will burn one day with a fervent heat but the word of God abides forever.
The Believer's Bible Commentary says focusing on the world is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. It is like depositing money in a bank that is breaking. Wise people do not live for the world. They live for Christ and eternity...that is where their heart is and also their treasure. This is my birthday prayer for each of you today. I am a blessed Mom to have daughters who are such blessings. Immerse yourselves in the word and do the will of God...ABIDE FOREVER.

Happiest of Birthdays to the Best Mum in this Universe and the other one I'm cooking up...it's around here somewhere...And yes, it's looking for it that made this wish so late...just remember Mum, 'last but most definitely not least'!
