Dear Girls,
We do not lose heart...we do not turn in cowardly surrender when the going gets tough. The gospel of Christ, girls, is too noble a cause to lose heart over. Make no mistake, none of us is sufficient to the task. Our sufficiency comes from Him. Our weakness is needed because it is then that the power of Christ can rest upon us. It is then that this ministry of righteousness, this ministry of the new covenant can go forth. Look at the attacks Paul faced and yet he continued to fight the good fight with great tenacity of spirit.
Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.--Ephesians 3:13
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.--2 Corinthians 4:16
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.--Galatians 6:9
Like Paul, we have received such mercy from God. God has called each one of us to shine our light in this dark world. Don't jump ship...don't abandon the cause. Trust God to strengthen you.
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.--2nd Corinthians 12:9-10
For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 17 For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship. --1 Corinthians 9:16-17
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.--2 Corinthians 4:7
Our citizenship is in heaven...our hope is in Him. Lay aside all that the world has...it is nothing in the light of His glory and grace.
Love
Mom
