These sections of Scripture are so undeniably prophetic that if you know the NT at all your mouth just drops open. Isaiah 42:1-9 speaks to the Messiah's gentle manner and worldwide mission. Isaiah 49:1-13 speaks more to His mission and success. Isaiah 50:4-11 is the Messiah's soliloquy about being perfected through obedience and sufferings. The last one (Isaiah 52:13-53:12) provides incontrovertible proof that God is the author of Scripture and Jesus the fulfillment of Messianic prophecy. “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold,
My Elect One in whom My soul delights!
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
He will not cry out, nor raise His voice,
Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
A bruised reed He will not break,
And smoking flax He will not quench;
He will bring forth justice for truth.
He will not fail nor be discouraged,
Till He has established justice in the earth;
And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”

To hear as the learned.

And I was not rebellious,
Nor did I turn away.
I gave My back to those who struck Me,
And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard;
I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.
The tongue of the learned,

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
