Day 3 -Thru the Bible 2019

Readings:  Genesis 5: 1–7: 24 Matthew 3: 7–4: 11 Psalm 3: 1-8 Proverbs 1: 10-19

I love how all these verses painted the same picture for me this morning...God [is] our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

THEN THE LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you with all your household, for you [alone] I have seen as righteous (doing what is right) before Me in this generation.—Genesis 7:1

Cross-reference verses

For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.—Ps 27:5

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], On those who hope [confidently] in His compassion and lovingkindness, To rescue their lives from death And keep them alive in famine.—Ps 33:18-19

then [in light of the fact that all this is true, be sure that] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and how to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,—2 Peter 2:9

But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory [and my honor], and the One who lifts my head.—Ps 3:3
