My Heart Will Sing No Other Name...

If I wash myself with snow water,
And cleanse my hands with soap,
Yet You will plunge me into the pit,
And my own clothes will abhor me.
 "For He is not a man, as I am,
That I may answer Him,
And that we should go to court together.
Nor is there any mediator between us,
Who may lay his hand on us both.—Job 9:30-33

These verses stopped me in my tracks this morning as I read them.  My heart began singing the lyrics from “Forever Reign” below.

“My heart will sing no other Name
Jesus, Jesus”

We have today what Job saw by faith...an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous who ever lives to make intercession for us.  Jesus meets my every need.  And they sang a new song, saying:

"You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood—Revelation 5:9

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"—Revelation 5:12

Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!—Revelation 5:13b

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.—John 14:6

For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.—Ephesians 2:18

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,—1 Tim 2:5

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.—Hebrews 4:14-16

❤️For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
26 And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
27 Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!—Job 19:25-27
