I Will Lift Up My Eyes...

1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.—Psalm 121

Reading this Psalm always brings tears of utter gratitude to my eyes....the LORD is my helper!  He is my refuge and strength...a very PRESENT help in trouble.  I will not be anxious...I will give my cares to Him because He cares for ME!  In my distress I will cry out to the LORD, my God.  He will hear me when I call.  He will not allow my foot to be moved...it is He who guards my path and preserves my way.   He, who never sleeps, is my confidence...

Over me He places a covering and becomes for me my shade in the daytime from the heat and also my place of refuge from storm and rain.  There is a Man who sits at the right hand of God who is my Keeper.  He is to me as a river of water in a dry place and as the shadow of a rock in a weary land. He whose steadfast love to me never ceases, leads me...even by springs of water He guides me. The precious Lamb of God is my Shepherd!

The Lord preserves all who love Him and redeems the souls of His servants.  None of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.  Blessed shall I be when I come in, and blessed shall I be when I go out.  The LORD will cause my enemies who rise against me to be defeated before my face.  They shall come out against me one way and flee before me seven ways. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore!  From the rising of the sun to its going down, the LORD's name is to be praised.

If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.  Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.Romans 8:31- 34
