Shaken Foundations...

So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. 21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.Exodus 13:20-22

And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD. 11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”

13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.Exodus 14:10-14 (emphasis mine)

Beloved, if God is for us, who can be against us. Lean on Him and fear not!  He is the God of every battle you face.  He is who fights for you. By His Spirit, settle your mind and fix your heart.  His banner over you is love and His perfect love casts out fear.  God is your secret weapon especially when afraid.  His grace has and will overcome the cares and concerns that have shaken your foundation. He will tread down your enemies and make them fall before you. Through Him you will do valiantly.

Beloved, There is no need to give in to the despair of the unbelieving around you.  Be like Moses...stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

16 He sent from above, He took me;

He drew me out of many waters.

17 He delivered me from my strong enemy,

From those who hated me,

For they were too strong for me.

18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity,

But the LORD was my support.

19 He also brought me out into a broad place;

He delivered me because He delighted in me.—Psalm 18:16-19
