But Joy Comes in the Morning...

4 Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His,

And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

5 For His anger is but for a moment,

His favor is for life;

Weeping may endure for a night,

But joy comes in the morning.Psalm 30:4-5

Like David, I can sing both in my heartbreak and in my joy.  I can give God praise!  David, in his lifetime, experienced many trials.  Part and parcel with those trials, came the experience of God’s deliverance and the overwhelming realization that no trial lasts forever.  We, as God’s beloved children, stand in His grace...in His PERMANENT favor.  His  lovingkindnesses are ALWAYS before our eyes.  His gifts to us, even in the darkest of times are steadfast. (Think on Matthew 28:1). Weeping, Warren Wiersbe reminds us, comes as a guest, but God’s gracious favor is with us for a lifetime.  Your steadfast love, Father, is better than life, my lips WILL praise you. I WILL extoll You!

Look with me and be encouraged by our Gods good word to us.

then man prays to God, and he accepts him; he sees his face with a shout of joy, and he restores to man his righteousness Job 33:26, ESV

For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you.  In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you," says the LORD, your Redeemer Isaiah 54:7-8, ESV

Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.  Psalms 126:5-6, ESV

Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.  When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from youJohn 16:20-22, ESV

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal2 Corinthians 4:16-18, ESV

22 Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed,

Because His compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning;

Great is Your faithfulness.

24 "The LORD is my portion," says my soul,

"Therefore I hope in Him!"—Lamentations 3:22-24

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.Romans 8:18
