Wrapping Yourself in Love…

There are quite a few“ Do not be afraid’s” in the Bible…both in the Old Testament and the the New.  Logically speaking, it would seem to me that God must really NOT want His children to be afraid.   I love that thought!

What is making you anxious at the moment?  God WANTS you to trust Him.  He never wants you to be anxious or afraid.

He says this in Isaiah 41:

10 Fear not, for I am with you;

Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you,

Yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

13 For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand,

Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

Beloved…wrap your mind around that.  The God of the Universe says, “I will help you.”  He will strengthen you and uphold you. He will be with you. He loves you with a perfect love.

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us.—1 John 4:17-19

Perfect love casts out fear. If we really understood how much God truly loves us, we

could know that whatever was happening to us at any given moment was according to His perfect plan and was always and forever for His glory and our good. If we really believed that God always seeks our highest good, fear would not even enter the equation. The antidote then for fear is in comprehending the unfailing love that God has for His children. Keep your mind and heart focused right there. Look for it. Take in every nuance. Let it wash over you like the waves at the seashore.

6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.—Romans 5:6-8

God is love…we have no reason for fear….His love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].

8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].—1 Corinthians 13:7-8
